Detailed reports can be sent to your GP.

Orthotics

Orthotics can solve a range of foot pain and gait issues. A thorough biomechanical, dynamic gait, footwear and joint range-of-motion assessments can be undertaken to identify your podiatric issue and recommend a potential solution during your appointment, and if required, custom castings can be made for orthotics.

Nail Surgeries

Ingrown toenails can be incredibly painful, but early and regular treatment can prevent the issue reoccurring and may prevent the need for antibiotics. By having your toenails professionally cut and cared for at regular intervals, you may be able to prevent this problem.

For those who prefer not to attend a podiatrist regularly, and are suffering from constant pain and regular infection due to ingrown toe nails, we can offer a minor surgical procedure known as a partial nail avulsion. Please ask for further detail of this procedure during your consultation.

Heel Pain

Heel pain can cause you a great deal of distress and it’s one of the most common causes of foot pain. Because your foot often doesn’t ‘look’ like it is injured, heel pain can cause confusion and distress. Diagnosing this condition early and implementing recommended treatments can help you recover in a timely manner and get you back on your feet

Plantar fasciitis and heel spurs are common causes of heel pain in adults. Treatment may involve footwear education, stretching regimes, anti-inflammatories, strapping, exercise modification or orthotics. Jenny will recommend the most appropriate form of treatment depending on the underlying cause of the pain.

Children can also suffer from heel pain, this often occurs between the ages of 8 and 13, as your child becomes increasingly active in sporting activities. Heel pain in active children is often a growth related condition known as Sever’s Disease. Jenny will be able to diagnose, treat and educate you and your child if this is the issue.
